Another WOW post! Once again, though I must express my disappointment in the fact that there is no category for "original design". I can understand choosing machine quilted over hand and published patterns over original designs, because that is what sells and after all, this is big business. They do have a separate category for hand quilted so why not original design as well? It's not sour grapes - honest! - but I think your quilt should have been judged on its design merit without competing with professional designers. I'm really normally a very positive person - wink! Thanks for the super post!
ReplyDeleteToo many awesome quilts to choose a favorite.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lori--hard to choose....(no Primitive type quilts either???)
ReplyDeleteAnyway--I like Hang Outs-8 Point Star--thanks for sharing--(looks like they liked molto molto quilting --they all look like Wall Art more than bed quilts...but they are beautiful...and no denying the exquisite workmanship....hugs, Julierose

The AQS shows are impressive! I loved all the micro quilting on the quilts, found them amazing! I saw "Starburt" in Grand Rapids MI and was in awe of the crochet binding, not to mention how beautiful the quilt was. Great photos, thanks for sharing.
