2013 Shipshewana Quilt Festival, Part Two...

Isn't this pretty?  It won best hand quilting at the Shipshewana Quilt Festival.  Again, I apologize ahead of time for my photography...I could not use my flash.

The next one was the winner for best machine quilting.

I liked this pink and brown first place winner in the small pieced category.

And the winner for large pieced quilt is...

(Sorry...I wasn't completely still...I really do better with a flash...)

I loved the top and bottom borders...

This is the winner in the small applique category...look at all that hand quilting!

And this won best large applique quilt.

Check out the machine quilted borders on this quilt.

This next one was the small winner for mixed technique.

(sorry - my close up was completely fuzzy)

And just in time for 4th of July fireworks, check this little beauty out...it took second place in the small pieced category.

Isn't this awesome?

This next one is a cool quilt...I enjoyed listening to a couple of ladies discussing their journey making the same quilt (and the poor quality of the pattern instructions - very interesting to someone who has been writing pattern instructions lately...).

This was a group guild project.  Look at all that hand quilting...

I always love seeing the reproduction great applique quilts.  This treasure using Mary Simon blocks made my heart sing.

My "All Around the Town" makes another appearance...

I liked the use of the applique block as the center of the feathered star medallion in this next one...

Yeah!  A scrappy one...

I need to retake the Best in Show pictures, and a few more...too darn fuzzy...when I go back on Saturday.  Still many more pictures to come (mostly, ones I need to retake...grrrr, I do better with a flash!).

Happy stitching!

In stitches,
Teresa   :o)
